A free, independent resource dedicated to documenting the sacred Shakti Peethas — built with devotion and offered to all seekers.

About This Site

Why We Built This Resource

The 52 Shakti Peethas are among the most sacred and spiritually significant sites in the Hindu tradition — yet comprehensive, accurate, and well-presented information about them remains scattered and hard to find.

This website was created to fill that gap: a single, thoughtfully compiled reference for devotees, pilgrims, students of Hindu philosophy, and curious seekers who want to understand the Peethas — their mythology, their history, their rituals, and how to visit them.

Every page is researched from publicly available sources — including the Devi Bhagavata Purana, the Tantra Chudamani, Kalika Purana, archaeological surveys, temple trust publications, state tourism records, and established academic works on Indian religious geography.

This is an independent, non-commercial project. We have no affiliation with any temple trust, religious institution, government body, or pilgrimage organisation. All content is offered freely and in good faith.

📚
Public Sources Only All information is compiled exclusively from publicly available texts, records, and publications. No private or proprietary sources are used.
🕊️
Non-Commercial & Independent This site carries no advertising, accepts no sponsorships, and is not affiliated with any organisation. It exists purely to serve seekers.
🔍
Accuracy Over Speed We prioritise careful, thorough research over rapid publication. Where facts are disputed in scholarly literature, we note the debate.
🌏
Accessible to All Whether you are a devout pilgrim, a student of religion, or simply curious — this resource is for you. Free, forever.
